Maartje Rammeloo added to the line-up of next Classical Music Rave

The Dutch soprano Maartje Rammeloo will perform with pianist Marta Liébana at the Classical Music Rave in Amsterdam on 22 August 2014. They will surprise us with a programme that combines classical music and jazz.

Recently Maartje played the role of Sharon in the play ‘Master Class’ (T. McNally) about legendary Maria Callas and she made her debut at De Nederlandse Opera as Prêtresse (Iphigénie en Tauride, Gluck), working with director Pierre Audi, conductor Marc Minkowski and Les Musiciens du Louvre. Last year among other things, she was part of two newly created operas, one about famous painter Jeronimus Bosch and one about Tsar Peter the Great, which played at the Grachtenfestival. This spring she will be playing the role of Michaela (Carmen, Bizet), and she will be covering the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor with De Nederlandse Opera.

In the past year Maartje was a prize winner at the renowned Hans Gabor Belvedère Competition and was a finalist at the Montserrat Caballé Competition in Zaragoza.
